Public transportation

Shuttle buses.

Shuttle buses will drive between the trainstation Rotterdam-Alexander and the Willem-Alexanderbaan. Check the 9292 app to plan your trip accordingly.

Coming from Utrecht:

When coming from the direction of Utrecht, make sure to take the intercity towards Rotterdam-Alexander (or just Rotterdam Central Station). This will take about 29 minutes.
After arriving on Rotterdam-Alexander, take the metro (line B) towards Nesselande (about 10 minutes of traveling time).
From Nesselande take bus number ‘175 P+R A12 / Waddinxveen, which takes about 8 minutes, and get out at stop ‘Zuideinde 8a’ at Zevenhuizen. From here, walk towards Zuideinde 14, where you can find the entrance road of the Willem-Alexanderbaan.

Coming from The Hague:

Starting at The Hague central station, take Interliner 382 towards Boskoop. Starting at station Zoetermeer, also get on the Interliner 382 towards Boskoop.
When arriving at stop ‘P+R A12 / Waddinxveen’ transfer to bus 175 towards Rotterdam. Get off at the stop called ‘Zuideinde’ located at Zuideinde 8a and walk the last bit towards Zuideinde 14. Here you will find the entrance road of the Willem-Alexanderbaan

Car

The Willem-Alexanderbaan is easily reachable by car. Coming from highway A12, take the exit to Zevenhuizen (exit number 9). Follow signs for the N219 in the direction of Zevenhuizen. At the second roundabout go right on to the Zuidelijke Dwarseweg. After about 300m you will be passing a blue bridge after which you immediately turn right again onto Zuideinde. You will find the entrance of the Willem-Alexanderbaan just after passing house number 14.

When driving on highway number A20 take exit Nieuwerkerk aan de IJssel (exit number 17). Follow N219 towards Zevenhuizen. At the second roundabout go left onto the Zuidelijke Dwarsweg. After about 300m you will pass a blue bridge, after which you have to make a right turn onto Zuideinde. Just after passing Zuideinde 14, you will find the entrance road of the Willem-Alexanderbaan.

Bike

A limited number of bicycles is available at the stations of Rotterdam-Alexanderpolder and Zoetermeer. Chance is that these are not available.

However, if you manage to get one, biking from here to the Willem Alexanderbaan will take you about 15 minutes. In the metro of Rotterdam you are allowed to take a bike with you, outside of peak hours. From station Nesselande it’s about a 2 km trip to the Willem Alexanderbaan.

There are also free bikes available on the Raceroei Regatta. These can be used for the event.
